Small volumes of EIF1AX recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

EIF1AX is an essential eukaryotic translation initiation factor. The protein is required for the binding of the 43S complex (a 40S subunit, eIF2/GTP/Met-tRNAi and eIF3) to the 5' end of capped RNA. It seems to be required for maximal rate of protein biosynthesis. And it enhances ribosome dissociation into subunits and stabilizes the binding of the initiator Met-tRNA (I) to 40 S ribosomal subunits. Recombinant human EIF1AX protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
